Erst als es Nacht war ONLY WHEN IT WAS NIGHT

Die Gestaltung dieser Hausfassade mit den Worten «ERST ALS ES NACHT WAR», «kam im vorbei gefühl» und «TAG» gründet sich auf die Geschehnisse vor der Neuinbesitznahme. Zuvor erhängte sich im Gebäudetrakt rechts der Schmied in seiner Werkstatt. Ganz links befindet sich der Eingang zum Wohnhaus. Der Weg in der Nacht dazwischen ist stockdunkel – bisher.
Die Erinnerung bleibt. Durch diese Installation kehrt das Geschehene nach außen. Tritt vor die Tür und behält die nun Wohnenden sorgsam.

The design on this house façade with the words “ONLY WHEN IT WAS NIGHT”, “simply crossed my mind” and “DAY” is based on the events before it was newly occupied. Before the smith hung himself in his workshop in the right wing of the building. Right to the left is the entrance to the residential building. The path in between is pitch-black at night – so far.
The memory stays. Through this installation, the events are turned inside out.
They step out of the door, carefully protecting the staying.
